More than ever, people face mental health issues like lack of focus, procrastination, mental fatigue, anxious thoughts, and high stress.
1 in 4 American women take SSRI antidepressants (1). Many people feel reliant on anti-anxiety drugs, alcohol, or marijuana to “take the edge off.”
But do these options solve the problem, or just numb them out?
When it comes to psychotropic drugs, such as antidepressants, the scientific efficacy of these products often comes as a surprise. Over five decades of peer-reviewed scientific literature shows that psychotropic drugs don’t improve mental health outcomes in the long-term, and that SSRI antidepressants are no more effective than placebo.
In fact, an abundance of medical literature shows that these products correlate to more frequent and severe mental health episodes in the long-term, compared with people who never took the drugs (2).
The “Chemical Imbalance Theory” of depression and anxiety suggests that these mental health problems result from an imbalance of the brain’s neurotransmitters. The problem is that theory has no scientific evidence supporting it! (3, 4)
This certainly isn’t the first time that an unsupported scientific theory was accepted by the general public as truth, with poor results.
Consider the Diet-Heart Hypothesis, which suggested that saturated fat consumption causes heart disease, even though the evidence was tenuous at best (5).
The low-fat-high-carb diet advice directly contradicted an abundance of scientific literature, but it reigned supreme until the early 2010’s.
I also see the rise of marijuana touted as natural solution for mental distress and anxious thoughts. From my perspective as an intuitive, marijuana puts people into a numbed-out state and opens their psyche to the astral realm.
This astral dimension is not an intrinsically spiritually-enlightened realm, and it can make people susceptible to negative entity attachment. For that reason, marijuana in any form is not something I recommend to my clients as a spiritual tool or emotional coping aid.
Mental Health Support with Flower Essences
I formulated Floral Song flower essences because I wanted to offer my clients an easy, all-natural way to support their mental health.
I loved the fact that flower essences are a gentle but powerful way to support mental and emotional balance. They are also allergen-free, chemical-free, and non-addictive.
Most importantly, I wanted to help my clients tune-in, instead of numb-out. That way, they could permanently address the underlying problems creating their emotional/emotional distress, instead of just silencing the symptoms.
Numbing-out temporarily reduces the sensation of emotional pain, while prolonging the life circumstances creating that pain in the first place.
Tuning-in, however, circumvents your subconscious limiting beliefs and heightens your intuitive connection. You gain the clarity to make choices that change the life circumstances creating your emotional pain.
Flower essences are a tuning-in tool. They support the release of negative mindsets, heighten intuitive connection, and help you feel centered in times of stress.
They work by shifting energy patterns in the body, similar to how an acupuncture needle works.
Ancient Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine has known for millennia that negative emotions impact the optimal vibration of the human body. Flower essences shift these trapped emotional-energy patterns.
Using a targeted Floral Song flower essence, you'll notice unhealthy coping mechanisms and negative mindsets fading away.
Healthy behaviors and new mindsets which once felt impossible become within your reach.
The changes are subtle, but profound. For example:
- Gentle Grace makes it easier to have loving, shame-free internal dialogue
- Taking Soul Play, you’ll notice a lightness within yourself, as if your inner child is coming out.
- Pure Bliss offers distance from anxious thoughts and magnifies peace in the present moment.
